George J. Vasquez was a founding member of Clovis Law Group, LLP. Mr. Vasquez graduated from San Joaquin College of Law with High Honors after graduating from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing and Rhetoric. Mr. Vasquez previously worked at firms representing city governments as well as private parties before starting his own practice. During his career, Mr. Vasquez represented many people and enjoyed great success – he took pride in representing people who had been wronged or hurt, and he found fulfillment in helping clients achieve a sense of justice.

Mr. Vasquez further impacted the legal community with his mentorship and desire to help those who wanted to learn the law by serving as an adjunct professor at San Joaquin College of Law where he taught first-year legal writing and moot court. Mr. Vasquez deeply believed in the power of written word and displayed that in everything he wrote. He shared that passion with his students and those he worked with.

Mr. Vasquez practiced law the way he led his life – with integrity and tenacity, all while maintaining a sense of humor. He held himself, and those around him, to the highest standards of morals and ethics. Away from work, he enjoyed hiking, practicing martial arts, and going on adventures with Caroline, his wife. Mr. Vasquez is survived by his wife, parents, sister, his two dogs, and his cat – as well as his extended family and a multitude of friends. “He was the brother you never had.” (Bob Dylan, Lenny Bruce) He will be missed.
